From Tight Times to Timeless Love
Our 10-Year Journey

A Ring That Waited for Its Moment
When we married in 2016, times were tight. I adored the engagement ring my husband had picked out, but my wedding band was a simple, basic one. Nearly a decade later — and 70 pounds lighter after welcoming our daughter — my original rings no longer fit. Then, in March 2025, a StarlandUS ad appeared on my husband’s Facebook. Knowing my love for Halloween and all things spooky, he knew instantly that this was the style for me. The ordering process was seamless, and I loved how the team personally confirmed every detail of my design. My new ring features alexandrite — my June-born husband’s birthstone — shifting colors in different light, just like the many shades of our love.
Two Paths, One Chance Encounter
Our story almost never happened. My husband grew up in California, but moved to Alabama as a teen — just minutes from where I lived. Yet our paths never crossed. In 2015, both fresh out of relationships, we found ourselves on the same dating app. I didn’t think I stood a chance, but I went back to send him a message anyway. He replied in minutes. Those first conversations made it clear: we had both learned exactly what we wanted in a partner, and we were ready to invest in each other. A few family complications sped up our wedding plans, but we knew we could weather anything — together.
Building a Life, Hand in Hand
Almost 10 years later, we’ve grown from the young dreamers we were in our early 20s into partners who’ve seen the country behind the wheel of a Freightliner, rescued two cats, and restored my great-grandparents’ home — now filled with our daughter’s laughter, the cluck of chickens, the hum of a garden, and the occasional neighborhood cat stopping by for a snack. This new ring isn’t just jewelry; it’s a reminder of every mile, every challenge, every joy we’ve shared. I love you with every breath in my bones.
