What types of stones can I choose from?

We work with nearly all gemstones. Here's a quick guide by durability (Mohs hardness):
💎 9–10 (Most Durable) — Diamond, Moissanite, Sapphire, Ruby, Alexandrite. Ideal for everyday wear and engagement rings.
💛 7.5–8 (Very Durable) — Topaz, Emerald, Aquamarine, Tsavorite. Great for regular wear, pairs well with protective settings.
💜 6.5–7.5 (Durable with Care) — Quartz Family (Black Rutilated Quartz, Amethyst, Moss Agate, Smoky Quartz, Citrine), Garnet. Suitable for everyday wear with normal care.
💙 5.5–6.5 (Delicate) — Opal, Moonstone. Softer stones — we recommend bezel settings and extra care.
💡 Not sure which stone suits your lifestyle? We'll recommend based on how often you plan to wear it.

Can I pick my own main stone?

Absolutely! We offer a complimentary stone selection service. Simply leave a note saying "Please pick my stone" during checkout, or email us at support@starlandus.com and we'll curate options for you to choose from.

Can I use my own stone in a custom ring?

Unfortunately, we're unable to set customer-provided stones. However, if you have the detailed measurements of your stone, we can create a ring mount (with side stones) designed to fit it perfectly.

How do I find my ring size?

You have a few options:
- Most convenient: Visit a local jeweler for a professional sizing — most do it for free.
- Easiest at home: We'll mail you a free ring sizer, just ask!
- Don't stress: Our after-care policy includes complimentary resizing within ±1.5 sizes, so you're covered even if it's not perfect the first time.

Which metal should I choose — 14K, 18K, or Platinum?

We offer four gold color options: Yellow Gold, Rose Gold, White Gold, and Black Gold. Platinum comes in its natural white finish but can also be plated in other colors upon request.
14K Gold
14K contains 58.5% pure gold alloyed with stronger metals, making it the most scratch-resistant and durable option. It's ideal if you lead an active lifestyle, work with your hands, or simply want a ring that holds up beautifully to everyday wear with minimal maintenance.
18K Gold
18K contains 75% pure gold — noticeably richer in precious metal content. While slightly softer than 14K, it offers a deeper luster and a more luxurious feel. It's the choice for those who value premium materials and don't mind a little extra care over time. If you're investing in something special, 18K gives you that elevated touch.
Platinum
Platinum is the heaviest and most hypoallergenic option. It's naturally scratch-resistant — more so than 18K — and develops a soft patina over time rather than losing metal. Perfect for sensitive skin or heirloom pieces meant to last generations.
